Boost your podcasts, live streams, studio recordings, and live performances with the High-Rise from Samson, a compact, inline microphone booster that provides up to +30 dB of ultraclean, transparent gain for very low output microphones. This active mic preamp is 48V phantom powered, delivering increased headroom for your signals without passing the phantom power to your microphone, protecting sensitive, passive ribbon mics from damage.
The class-A bipolar transistors ensure ultraclean gain, and the High-Rise sports switched controls for controlling your gain levels, including three gain settings (+20 dB, +20 dB with a high-frequency boost, and +30 dB) and a selectable high-pass filter at 120 Hz for reducing unwanted rumbling sounds. A simple mono XLR 3-pin input and output design makes it easy to connect to your microphone signal path in any setup, and the rugged 14-gauge steel enclosure will protect your electronics from damage in virtually any scenario, from heavy pro or home studio usage, to demanding tours and live venues.
