Ernie Ball’s Flatwound guitar strings are the perfect choice for musicians seeking a warm, smooth, vintage sound. They are made from tin-plated steel cores, ensuring a solid base, around which are wound a polished stainless steel ribbon with a glass-smooth finish. This unique construction guarantees a vintage sound with a soft, deep tone. One of the key features of these strings is their ability to dramatically reduce the finger noise inherent in traditional strings, thanks to the threading.
